This was in fact our second trip to Kauai. Our first trip back in 2003 was one of those "we're starting a relationship so why don't we go on a long vacation together and see what happens" kind of test trips, where you come home and pretty much either break up immediately because you both hate each other now or just go ahead and get married because really how hard can that be after surviving travelling together? As you may have guessed, we ended up in the latter category! So we figured it was time for a repeat trip to Kauai, for all sorts of reasons.

Last time, we stayed at Poipu Kai in Poipu Beach on the south shore, which had a great location but we got kind of a cruddy condo. This time we stayed at Hideaway Cove, a small condo complex (7 units) also in Poipu Beach. We loved it (Dolphin Studio), and highly recommend it.

Now a word about the pictures. I tried to take nice pictures, I really did. But sometimes, things just don't work out. So go look at the pictures from our last trip, there are some really great ones there. As for these, well don't say I didn't warn you!
